Do I need teaching experience to become an ESL teacher with UpLearning?
Experience helps, but it is not the only thing we look at. Clear English, patience and a real interest in teaching matter a lot, and we support new teachers with training. Apply and tell us about your background.
Do I need a teaching certificate?
A teaching certificate is a plus, but it is not required to apply. Tell us about any teaching, tutoring or coaching you have done, even if it was informal.
Can I teach English from home?
Yes. We hire online ESL teachers who work from home anywhere in the Philippines, with a flexible schedule. You need a quiet room, a computer, a headset and a stable internet connection.
Where is the office for office-based ESL teachers?
Our centre is at KM 11 Sasa, Davao City 8000. We are open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
